but today is a perfect day to come back
first, a story.
so the other day i got home late after seeing the foo fighters (awesome show, but thats another story and shall be told another time) and so i sort of just collapsed on my couch when i got home. the next morning my father wakes me up and is like lets go im dropping you off early. now its about 8:15 and i don't have class till 9:30 -- but, today was optional so i wasn't even planning on going in until around 10:15 --- annywayy, i get up and take a shower and get ready and the whole time my father is like lets go im going to be late, lets go! so im rushing but finally am ready. i get to school around nine-ish and decide that im not going to class, but instead am going to just hang out in the library. so i go in, and there is a decent amount of people in there but im not realy paying attention. so around 10:45 i decide that im going to start heading toward my next class. as im walking down the halls im realizing that there is no one around. now for a tuesday morning this is very unusual. so i go back, find a comptuer and click on the schools website. sure enough, there is an announcement that says: "due to a power outage, classes will be cancelled until noon." WHAT THE EFFF!!!! so now i don't have my eleven o'clock class and there is no point in being at school. luckily my brother came around twelve and i left with him after his class. but this isn't even half the story. i get home and am home for a good hour and a half before my mother comes home and tells me that i have to make a few phone calls, so i go up into my room and notice right away a very strong smell. what is that you ask? i left my effing straightener on! so i fly over to it and pick it up and there is this huge brown spot on my carpet (which is blue) sooo i was like ooohhh man, i could have burned the house down. this could have gotten realllly bad. =/ anyway, it all turned out alright because i found a rubber barbie watch in the frosted flakes box, and its pretty much my new favorite thing.
ok so that was tuesday. now for today:
ben greeno was in bridgets english class today.
we both almost died of excitement.
we aren't sure if he is actually in the class now or if he was just using the room.
either way, its ben fucking greeno.
=]
tomorrow is smoking popes. it should be a fun show i think. idk. we'll see.
also, i really really really miss riding my bicycle. the snow needs to go away.

and the soundtrack is even better
ive had a cold for the past couple days.
i'm not going to lie, not being able to breathe through my nose
which in turn makes me sound like a man is pretty sexy.
NOT.
hopefully it will go away soon.
there is a redwall show next friday.
i purposely take fridays and saturdays off so can don't have to miss shows
but we are going to be starting inventory next week at work and since i can't work on wednesdays i told my manager i would work friday, because, at the time i thought nothing was going on.
now i am praying that i can get it switched.
i told my manager that it was my uncles birthday and if it was at all possible could i change days
she said she would do everything she could but wouldn't make any promises
so i bought a ticket. and am crossing my fingers.
i'm in desperate need of a show.
i'm very tired. have a good night children. sleep tight and dont' let the bed bugs bite.

music: Tell Me -- Catfish Haven
long time no post.
lets see. whats life been like...
Christmas:
thats seems like it happened a long time ago. "
it wasnt' too bad. i FINALLY got a pair of red pants. they are so badass. i love them.
i also go a pair of red tights that ihappen to be wearing right now. those are pretty great too.
the only other thing that i recieved thats worth mentioning is the Kings of Leon's first cd Youth and Young Manhood. definatly one of my top three favorite albums ever. everything else was just alright.
New Years:
I was supposed to go to Schubas to see Catfish Haven on the night before new years eve but the show sold out and i was an idiot and didnt' get tickets ahead of time. so that was a drag. New Years eve i went to Bridgets. it was funnnn fun fun. i kicked a bunch of peoples asses in fooseball and then jim and i dominated in catch phrase. we were unstoppable. at midnight we blew horns and went outside where i fell in the snow and then jim thought it would be fun to keep pushing me over. my tights were soaked by the end of it all. after that we went back inside, played more games and watched spaceballs. ha. what a way to start out the new year.
Last Friday:
on this day i got to see Catfish Haven play at Clearwater which totally kicked ass. they were amazing. i had to deal with all these crappy screaming bands play before them there was one good one though. they were called Prizzy Prizzy Please. they were made up of a keyboardist, bass player and drummer and then the lead singer sang obviously and played the saxophone. it was entertaining.
Saturday:
I bought the film "Once" about a bajillion people told me i have to see this because i would totally love it so i bought and i totally love it! ha. seriously though its one of the greatest films i have ever seen. and i've seen a lot of films.
Yesterday:
I took Amelia to see Enchanted. oh my goodness i LOVED it! hahaha i think im going to buy that when it comes out
Today:
i worked from 5:30 till 8:30. wierd. anyway i today at work i experienced the most uncomfortable conversation i thinki will ever have with someone. i could be wrong, but heres what happened. so the phone rings i answer it all perky and upbeat "Carson Juniors!" (gag) and this lady that i work with from another department is on the other line. and she like, "jacque there is a man on the phone here and he is looking for some skirts......for himself. ummm im just going to let you talk to him." so im like alright, there is probablly some gay guy or crossdresser on the other line and its uncomfortable. well she disconnected him when trying to transfer him so i had to hang up. i forgot about it and then about fifteen minutes later the phone rang again. i immediatly knew who it would be and answered. this is how the conversation started:
Me: "Carson Juniors!"
Him: "Hi, who am i speaking with?"
Me: this is Jacque
Him: wow, i really like that name. my name is ken. i really like the name jacque for a woman.
Me: .....thanks.
Him: so jacque how are you today?
Me: im good how are you?
Him: i'm fine. we've got kind of a stormy monday though
Me:.....yeah....
(now mind you i have customers that im trying to ring up and this guy is having a casual conversation with me)
Him: so jacque, what kind of skirts do you have?
(my manager told me that this guy calls all the time and im supposed to tell him that we dont have any short skirts so i was prepared! ha!)
Me: All of the skirts we have here are either knee length or longer.
Him: ohh really? well see i need some really short skirts.
Me: yea...we dont' really have anything like that here
Him: well see, your gong to laugh when i tell you, but this is what i need them for.........(and honest to goodness this is what he said to me)........i have a couple lady friends and i like them to boss me around. so they want me to clean there house for them because its reeeealll dirty. so they bought me a pair of black nylons and made me shave my legs and they put me in a black slip and a black bra and gave me a collar that says "bitch" and don't get me wrong i absolutly LOVE it but they are makig me clean their house
Me:....ummm ok....
Him: and so i need some really short skirts because im going to be on my knees a lot.
Me:....alright.....
H: so you can't help me? im really thin, i only weigh 139 pounds. i want somethng that looks like a french maid
Me: umm well, we don't really have anything like that. all of our skirts are knee length or longer.
Him: ohhh really? you dont' have anything?
Me: umm you can try hot topic
Him: really ooh!! i never thought of that! hot topic. yea i bet i could find something there!
(he said somethign after this but i was giving the customer their change so i missed it. it was silent after that though so im sure it was something really awkward i follwed with this....)
Me: well im sorry we can't help you sir but you have a great day.
Him: oh you too jacque thanks so much!
then i hung up.
ew.
he wasn't jsut looking for a skirt for himself. he was into some kinky shit. i hope i dont' ever have to talk to him again.
now im here on the computer safe from all the creepers.
i just found out that The Redwalls may be touring with Catfish Haven
bad-asss!!!!
ahh that will be swEEt if they are.
updates will be given as the become available.
goodnight everyone, and good luck.

music: Johnathan Rice -- It Couldn't Be Me
i have not posted in a while.
lots of fun things have happened:
1. Today I did not have class because of the ice storm. For as awesome as that is, it is also mildly depressing because today was my music class and we were supposed to present our final projects. i was pumped because what we have to do is pick an artist that we listen to now and dissect the music and pretty much do what my teacher does in every class. I picked the Arcade Fire: Crown of Love because its so easy to dissect and a sweet song. o well. i guess i will have to wait till thursday.
2. Because i didnt' go to school, i did a 500 piece puzzle. oh how i love them.
3. Last weekend i saw The Whigs, Johnathan Rice, and The Redwalls. it was AMAZING. The Whigs were swwweet. and i am COMPLETELY OBSESSSSED with Johnathan Rice. i have not been able to stop listenin to his cd. I got to talk to him after the show also which was pretty comical. he has a gorgeous voice, and a scottish accent. whoaaa.
4. Because I'm obsessed with Johnathan Rice THIS and THIS are two of my new favorite things to watch.
5.This weekend is Door County with the homies!!!! wooo i can't wait. four girls, the woods, and snow. bring it on.
6. there is probably other random things that i could write here but i can't think of them now. everyone have a good day. =]

im past the point of tired. just sort of here.
but.
i fininshed my paper
four pages...i know, not a lot, but it took me forever....on the governments influence on music censorship. seems easy right? no because i was writing too much, then i didn't know what to cut out, and now i think its done.
now i just have to do journal entries for stupid articles from the newspaper. but im not doing those till before class. and then...once government is over im freee and all i'll be able to think about is
THE REDWALLS!!!!
oh man i cannnnott wait! it seems like its been fooorrrevvvverrrrrr. when in reality i think its something like three months. thats sick. o well. right now im going to try to sleep a little bit. im so happy this paper is done. i feel like a house has been lifted off my shoulders.
i fare thee well.

Dec. 3rd, 2007 | 01:16 am

mood:
freezing!!!
i have class at 8:00
i should really go to bed.
today was fun though.
i called off work, and said i was sick, but instead went to the bears game with fred, eddie, and john.
they played the NY Giants. and lost because of a stupid call. the ball had clearly hit the ground, and the ref that was standing there saw it and said it wasn't a touchdown but effing New York challenged it and the refs gave it to them thus giving them a touchdown. booo!!
at the end of the game a fight broke out in the two rows behind me. there were lots of punches thrown and then in the midst of all that some guy came out of nowhere and launched himself feet first sending two guys tumbling backwards over the seats. it was intense. i wanted to throw something.
our seats were really good too. right behind the goal post on the north side of the field, and up a little ways. it was cold but i was prepared and so it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
we were so close to winning. damn giants.
all of my final projects are due this week. is it bad that i've started pretty much none of them? o well. i'll get them done. i always do.

Allman Brothers
and a Beatles "rarities"....its an import from holland.

i really liked this place. the prices are decent. i've been looking for the white album for a long time, and i finally found it at the record store that i usually go to. It was used and not even in a plastic sleeve and they wanted 75 dollars for it. eff that. i got this import record, in perfect condition, for 10 bucks!! plus the guy was really nice too.
i'm definatly going back there.
